Pakistan petroleum sales fall 2% YoY in September

Pakistan’s petroleum product sales declined 2% year-on-year (YoY) to 1.35 million tons in September 2026, mainly due to lower high-speed diesel (HSD) and motor spirit (MS) volumes, according to a report by Topline Securities released on Friday. Excluding furnace oil (FO), overall oil marketing companies’ (OMCs) sales fell 8% YoY to 1.25 million tons during the month. FO sales, however, surged 601% YoY to 93,000 tons in September, compared with just 13,000 tons a year earlier. HSD sales declined 11% YoY to 525,000 tons, while MS volumes fell 5% to 652,000 tons.
