LHC moved against section 144
LAHORE: Punjab Assembly opposition members Ejaz Shafi, Sheikh Imtiaz Mahmood and others have approached the Lahore High Court against section 144 of CrPC imposed across the province of Punjab. The petitioners through their counsel contended that the recent imposition of section 144 was aimed at preventing the PTI protest. The petitioner also contended that restrictions on peaceful assembly and political activities conflict with fundamental constitutional rights.
