Heavy rains may trigger flash floods in northern areas through Sept 30: NDMA
The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Friday issued an alert for heavy rains and potential weather-related hazards in upper parts of the country from September 25 to 30. According to the NDMA, thunderstorms and rain are expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan and Islamabad, with a risk of flash floods in vulnerable areas.
