Former army chief general (retd) Abdul Waheed Kakar dies aged 89
Former chief of army staff general (retired) Abdul Waheed Kakar passed away in Rawalpindi on Monday, the military’s media wing said. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and all ranks of Pakistan Army have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Abdul Waheed Kakar.
