179 Chinese electric buses arrive at KPT
KARACHI: A shipment of 179 electric buses from Yingkou, China, arrived at Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose Limited (KGTML) on Wednesday aboard MV RUINING 6, the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) said. The KPT said it facilitated the vessel’s arrival and the discharge of the buses at the terminal. The consignment is destined for Margalla Heavy Industries Limited, Taxila Cantt. It said the shipment reflects Karachi Port’s role in handling imports of modern transport equipment and supporting Pakistan’s shift toward cleaner mobility. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
