IT, utilities stocks drag Sri Lankan shares lower

Sri Lankan shares closed lower on Thursday, dragged by IT and utilities stocks. The CSE All-Share index settled 1.4% lower at 20,234.34 points. Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka and Dialog Axiata were the biggest drag on the index, down 2.85% and 1.34%, respectively. Trading volume on the index rose to 72.9 million shares from 60.4 million shares in the previous session.
