PPP’s Farooq Naek resigns from JCP

ISLAMABAD: Senator Farooq H Naek resigned as a member of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Wednesday. He was appointed as a member of the JCP from the Treasury Benches under Article 175A(2) of the Constitution. He represented the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) in the Commission. Naek, in his letter, stated that he stepped down from the body due to personal reasons. “I am unable to carry out my responsibilities as a member of the JCP,” says the letter. “It has been a great honour and privilege to serve as a member of the JCP,” he added.
